Bothell with narrow win at WHS, plays Eastlake Wednesday at BHS

Taking a hard-fought game 52-48 over Woodinville Friday night on their home court, Bothell remains undefeated in league play and is now in sole possession of 1st place in the KingCo standings.

The Woodinville games over the last few years have been very close, tough games and this was no exception as both teams took their runs. Down 8-10 after 1 and up at half 23-18, Bothell started the 4th all tied at 33.  But then they hit a slump and were down 5 points with 5 minutes left in the game. Not to be outdone, Bothell hit back-to-back-to-back 3-pointers to pull ahead and hold the lead for the final 3 minutes.  Junior Emily Gibson hit two 3s and Taya Corosdale hit one in the run. Corosdale’s 8 for 8 from the line helped Bothell hit 82% for the night from the stripe.

Up next for Bothell is Eastlake @ BHS, Wednesday 7:15PM. Bothell won the away match-up 68-65 in December after coming from behind. Expect another battle and keep and eye on the Wolves all-star guard Gina Marxen who is averaging 20.2 points per game.
